As part of this inspiring celebration of sustainability, community, and climate action, BENAA Foundation & BENAA Habitat hosted a hands-on workshop and exhibition exploring the power of clay and water in sustainable development.
We launched Iftar with Impact to promote more sustainable giving. In partnership with the Embassy of the Netherlands in Egypt, Yad Al-Awn Association, and Awn Hands NGO, we organized a unique iftar in Doweika using reusable plates and cutlery. This reduced 625 kg of plastic waste and saved over 210,000 EGP, enabling Yad Al-Awn to serve 2,200 additional meals.
We’re proud to announce our new partnership with the National Water Research Center, a meaningful step toward sustainable water development. With NWRC’s 50 years of research leadership and BENAA’s grassroots expertise, this collaboration is set to drive real, lasting impact.
Wrapping up an incredible journey with the completion of the Digital Water and Sanitation Solutions (DWSS) Project, funded by GSMA.
BENAA invited attendees on a journey to explore the power of earth architecture as a climate adaptation and resilience tool. Focusing on community-centered sustainable development, the session highlights experiences from Egypt, Palestine, and Saudi Arabia. Moderated by Eng. Rasha Emad, the event features insights from Eng. Rashid and Eng. Ghada on the role of earthen architecture in Palestine; Eng. Islam in Egypt; and Eng. Sama in Saudi Arabia.
BENAA participated in WUF 12 in Cairo, sharing our work in sustainable rural development. We presented our approaches to eco-construction, decentralized sanitation, and nature-based solutions. The forum was an opportunity to showcase youth-led innovation and connect local efforts to global urban sustainability dialogues
BENAA had the chance to showcase its work in water sector at the Cairo Water Week, among key stakeholders in the field. climate change fighting activities by meeting visitor passing by our both and conducting workshops.

Our social innovation pyramid is a term coined in 2016 to describe our integrated loop of change-making; by producing and transferring knowledge on sustainable development, training youth and strengthening their capacities to implement knowledge-based youth-led participatory development projects with local communities, to achieve sustainable development.
We strive to take actions that maintain, sustainably manage, and restore natural and modified ecosystems in order to address societal challenges effectively and adaptively, benefiting both people and the environment. Specifically, we focus on improving rural areas' built environments and inhabitants quality of life.
We focus on spreading knowledge and raising awareness about climate change challenges and impact in addition to the best environmentally friendly practices. On another side, we tackle severe climate change implications in areas of water, energy, food, and weather through physical interventions.
Aims at creating contextual, low-cost, sustainable architecture. Our work is a profound commitment to finding innovative design and construction solutions, with a dedication to vernacular architecture and the potential of natural materials. This is achieved with the help of a working methodology and a spirit of curiosity and experimentation and by creating sustainable human settlements through environmentally responsible, low cost architecture that serves as a catalyst for social development.
Aims to deal with any educational environment (schools - universities - community schools - etc.) by improving the education environment, facilities, and open spaces to create an effective learning environment between the student, and the educational institution and improving the learning process.
Aims to protect and preserve regional water resources by innovating prefabricated integrated water, sanitation, and energy solutions. And building a youth-led enabling environment by innovating prefabricated integrated water, sanitation, and energy solutions.
Aims to collect, treat, and dispose of discarded solid material. As well as offering solutions for recycling items that do not belong to garbage or trash and through which, those wastes can be changed and used as a valuable resource. BENAA mainly focuses on designing and implementing furniture units and wood accessories with low cost and high quality recycled materials seeking for developing poor rural areas in Egypt.
We were so proud to work with these extraordinary rural communities along past years. We truly learned a lot out of this journey. And we wish to see that impact grow and seed out of these points of light on the map.
