BENAA was founded and firstly launched in September 2015 as an initiative. We registered as an NGO under the Ministry of Social Solidarity with no.10655 in 2017. BENAA aims at building the youth’s capacities, to develop participatory sustainable projects in Egypt and the MENA region through an integrated loop of change-making in the field of sustainable development in various aspects; by producing knowledge on sustainable development, strengthening youth capacities and implementing knowledge-based youth-led sustainability projects on the ground.
BENAA's vision is to achieve equality through sustainable and inclusive development in Egypt and the MENA region through building communities and creating an interactive enabling environment. Internally we aim to be, and be recognized as, the best service provider for knowledge-based community-led sustainable development projects in the MENA region.
Our Mission is to Empower communities to achieve sustainable development through knowledge-based youth-led participatory projects.
Knowledge production and education are our first areas of development. That is because they represent the base of scientifically based sustainable development. Ensuring a rigorous understanding of sustainable development and its importance.
Building capacities and focusing on people is the most sustainable way of development. People are the most important asset/ resource that drives significant development. We focus on building capacities, shaping mindset, and equipping practical skills.
Fiscal interventions and participatory innovation and implementation of projects are our learning space. Also, it is where we demonstrate our impact in a tangible form. We are keen to translate our knowledge and capacities into real-life projects that serve the community, promote employment, and address serious community needs.
