SafeAGroMENA Project

Re-use of nutrient-rich treated wastewater for a food self-sufficiency in MENA

SafeAgroMENA project advocates for the sustainable use of alternative water sources and employs agroecological interventions to ensure its safety. In principle, the project addresses emerging pollutant risks, emphasizing human health, social equity, and environmental sustainability. It promotes community awareness and capacity building to reuse alternative water sources in agriculture safely. The project is conducted in Egypt, Jordan, and Iraq.  The project is supported by IHE Delft Water and Development Partnership Program, financed by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Our project Partners in Egypt are Nile University, and Organic Valley.
