SOKIA project provides sustainable and integrated services in rural and isolated areas. We ensure sustainability of our interventions by encouraging community ownership and participation, developing linkages with local stakeholders, and encouraging local suppliers to provide low-cost hardware.
The priority areas to serve are:
1. Villages that are not connected with basic water infrastructure, with no drinking water stations and inhabitants, depend on water delivery.
2. Villages that have no sanitation or hygiene services and inhabitants are depending on draining their wastewater in canals without any sort of treatment.
With your continuous support and generous donations, we have provided safe drinking water to 1,000,000 people in 3 governorates in Egypt, Fayoum, Beni-Sweif and Giza using reverse osmosis and filtration technologies for renewable underground water and will continue scaling our impact in the upcoming years.
